I am playing a mim P bass right now that I am pretty happy with but I am looking for something with a thinner neck and a PJ configuration. My hands are really small so I figure a thinner jazz style neck would help be improve my technique, and I want the brightness of the extra jazz pickup. If you know of any fenders or fender style basses that would be great because they appeal to me aesthetically. Thanks!

You could check out some of the Yamaha BB series. I have a Fender MIA P bass, but I gig mainly with my Yamaha BB414. Neck isnt as fat as the p bass neck either.
Aerodyne is the first bass that comes to mind. A more expensive alternative would be the MIA deluxe. I have an Aerodyne P and I like that very much. All of my basses are 7.25 though.
The Squier Vintage Modified PJ bass is a good shout. It's a 1.625" nut but a thin neck front-to-back, good pickups, tuners & bridge, and very lightweight, with a good choice of colours.

not sure.. i'd play it and if it sounded and felt great i'd pay that much. Koa fenders are not v common PJs even more so.. i guess. my cutoff for a bass is round $1700.. sooo

Try to find an 80's MIJ Fender Power Jazz. I had 2 at one point. Best sounding fender bass I've ever played. Just didn't fit what I am doing.
