Can anyone recommend a quality XLR cable-builder?

I need to buy, build, or cajole seventeen 16-foot XLR cables into existence. Since my soldering skill suck, I'd kind of like to buy them. Could someone recommend a company or builder that could do an order like that in about a 4-week timeframe? I'd rather not have to go to Guitar Center and either pay through the nose to get good quality ($60 for a 15-foot XLR? ARGH!) or pay less and get a cable that will fall apart on me in 6 months.

How about paying less for cables that won't fall apart in 6 months?

I ordered this bundle about a year ago, a couple gigs a month and pretty heavy at-home usage and haven't had one fail on me yet.

Probably, but I've already got a 100' 24-channel snake, and I need a way to get ~20 microphones/DI boxes into the snake

You can buy 16 channel extender snakes for low money and a small foot print. These are usually made to extend a snake or go to power amps. These don't have a box on the end.

You're in a major city, you'd be nuts to mail order simple XLR cables. Find the a pro audio rental house and get them to build what you need. They regularly build cables and what you need is a small, easy job for them. If the first one you contact isn't interested keep looking. An amp repair shop would be another option. Avoid chain retailers like GC for custom stuff and go to the people whose business is custom stuff....or buy a soldering iron.
