Man, while I was rocking my two year old (literally not figuratively) I searched the web for a half hour and could find NOTHING on the house band for that show. It's like they are keeping it a secret or something.

Looks like an X but a Google search for ISX brings nothing up.

I'll see if I can 'shop it. Contrast, Brightness and such to see if I can make any more visible.
OP, I recommend you find the source of the image, and ask the photographer for the original or at least details about the bass.

I got this off the video. I thought the bass player was Meshell Ndegeocello for a moment.

No fruitful results on my part unfortunately.
I just could not find a bass like it with the same initials, and I must have tried 15 different initials.

If it helps at all, the shadow of the string may be hiding part of the what we think is an I and an S - which could in reality be a B!
Sorry I couldn't help.
EDIT: Have you considered the posibility of a frankenbass?

That "IS" you guys were seeing is part of the "B" from the Bossa logo.

Edit: Had a hard time finding any pictures other than the tiny ones on Bossa's website.
And that's kind of odd because looking at their artists list, it looks like some well known people play these, including Nathan Watts.

As far as I can recall, those young dudes with James Fauntleroy were the house band. They call themselves "1500 or nothing". They are mentioned in the same sentence as the Roots in some circles. I heard the name came from them saying they would take no less than $1500.00 to gig when they were starting out.
They should not be too hard to Google. That is not Chucc on bass in the photo so you could ask them if they have a Twitter or something. You young guys should be up on this. I'm a old man.
