I recently picked up a CIJ '51 RI-P (her name is Doris) and I would like to have the butterscotch blonde poly finish stripped off and repainted with Nitro in either Sonic or Daphne Blue. I've already pulled off the stock black pickguard and replaced it with a white one.

Can you guys recommend someone who will put a flawless finish on Doris for under $300 shipped?

Oh, and don't forget to rock the vote on the color! :)

I'm gonna give Brett, Ibanezcollector, my vote. Great guy.

+1
Brett does fine work and is an artist.

I'd also consider RSguitarworks. They refinished my 1955 vintage P-bass in nitro as part of a restore. Fine work and great prices. Tell Roy I sent you. :p

I've had Pat Wilkins do work for me in the past. I would not go anywhere else. His work is absolutely stunning. Check the prices on a matching headstock if interested......

I don't think the Wilkins shop is going to come in under $300 though. Maybe.

Edit - Lake Placid Blue not Sonic Blue!
Invalid Link Removed You may want to install ferrules for string-thru-body, or maybe not.

Actually, the Squier's are Lake Placid Blue and sell for $300. But you do have a REALLY good point. :)
