Thats almost definately a Skjold just look at the little circular mark at the top of its headstocks and compare it to the skjold. even has those little cut outs. Then again one thing makes me skeptical, Im no skjold expert but I've always seen them with the trussrod adjustable at the body/base of the neck not at the top, while this one has the headstock plate there and is most likely adjusted there (at the tuners).

Ed Reynolds started buliding basses in the early to mid 70's and he was indeed inspired by Alembic,I have played my share of his Basses( he's done custom work for me before as well)and his Bass are top qaulity and right up there with some of the more house hold names.

Definetly not- The truss rod cover is on the headstock. Alembic doesn't build 'em that way. Plus, those aren't Alembic pickups and Alembic won't build a bass and install somebody elses pickups in there- people have been known to swap pickups out, but that would require some routing, which obviously hasn't happened on this bass.

That being said, the body shape certainly reflects a blend between the Europa and Rogue shapes. I kind of like the body shape.
