Can't get the right tone

If you are playing thrash metal in a full band setting with an acoustic drum-set ... that Little Fender is not going to cut it even if drums aren't mic'ed.... Even with one guitar player, you wouldn't hear yourself over drums.

I play in alternative hard rock band with one guitar / vocals / drums, and I finally settled down on 800W Head + 410 / 412 cab, that gets it nicely even with everything.... and you can hear the "tone" you are after.

Interesting, I play alternative hard rock, downtuned with an abrasively loud guitarist and very high energy drummer who has extra deep toms with the tama expoy coating in them, I play with a 200 watt head>410 cab and a 350 watt head>210H cab, all at 8ohms, played simultaneous (dual amp) set up, and I never need to turn my gain and/or volumes up past 12:00. Both are loud as can be. Although theyre trace cabs and the 350w is a trace, which do have a repuation as being loud.
