Unless you provide a picture, the bass does not exist. It is impossible to replace parts on an invisible bass. Especially if you don't want it getting scratched or dinged up.

Can't Identify Fender Jazz Bass Version

Awesome! That's really helpful. Do you know where I can get a replacement knob for that? I don't remember what it looked like originally if it was just a push button on top of the knob or an additional knob.
Yes there is a shaft. Looks like something screws into it but I can't find the part online.

If you look carefully at the photo of the one that was for sale you can see there is an inner knob, but it's just a flat piece of plastic with a small indicator dot to show what position it was in relative to the main knob. Would probably be pretty easy to machine a replacement part, or even 3D print one?
That shaft has been pulled out, you need a whole new potentiometer, unfortunately.

I wonder what the button does? Probably switches off the preamp, so you can play in passive? Or does it change you from series to parallel on the p'ups?
