Got my SB5000 in yesterday! I was kind of nervous because this is my first jazz bass (I own spector and tobias basses), wasn't sure how I was going to like it. I must say I am VERY surprised and delighted with this bass! I went with the satin matte finish on natural swamp ash, simply top notch work.
I know several people have said it before me, but every single note can be heard evenly on this neck. Pickups are amazing. I played this at a gig I am doing for the phantom of the opera musical, and it sat perfectly in the mix. If you are debating whether or not to buy once of these basses, DO IT, you will not regret it!
