Honestly, no need. It's just the treble knob got pushed down on the shaft a little bit probably during shipping. Just loosen the set screw, move the knob up a touch, done.

Bjazzman, nice bass. The tone knob is an easy fix, it just needs to be loosened, adjusted and tightened up again. (Edit: Vic beat me to it. 
)When I got my SB4000 I kinda' wondered about the dry pack thing being loose in the case. What a mess!
Have fun trying the new toy out, and let us know what you think after you've had more time with it.

I'm thinking very hard about getting the sb5001, just to make sure this comes in at 8 lbs.

Check the instock page. There's not guarantee that chambers will be lighter in every case and I doubt it would be 8lbs. 8.5 is the lightest one I've seen.

My ash bodied SB5000 is 9.5 FWIW.I have not weighed my SB, I just don't wanna' know!
my sb5000 is 9.4lbs. played it tonight in the group and loved it! anyone play though a walkabout? this might be my next amp
