MY CARVIN IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!:hyper::eek::hyper::eek::hyper::eek:

It wasn't supposed to be finished until June 28th so i'm waiting on a check to come in before I can make my last payment. :(

I'll have it before June 28th though!

Cool! My bass was done almost 2 weeks early, and now your's is ready 3 weeks ahead. They must be working 24/7 at Carvin these days. ;)

If it were me, I'd just put the sucker on my charge card and pay off the balance when I go the CC bill. You are clearly more responsible with your money than I am. :D

I don't have any CC Woody. :D

sb5000 dragonburst with blackburst edges and maple fb. vvt and ss strings. really looking forward to this. i thought i saw the ups truck that had it on my way back home from chicago yesterday on the road. i wanted to flag him down and grab it out of there

that sounds really cool. post some pics tomorrow man!

I'm hoping Carvin will add some new colors. I'd really love a Baby Blue SB5000.

new colors are always a good thing. baby blue sounds nasty though. :)

Another thing I've learned buying as much as I have from Carvin over the last year, I only deal with Keith. He knows his stuff.

Yea, Keith actually takes the time to hear what you want and his suggestions are always spot on. He saved me about 200 bucks in things I thought I needed, but didn't. He gets paid commission, so that 200 bucks would've made for a better sale for him.

Good for you madbassplaya! I don't either. I briefly considered doing the Carvin charge account for a purchase until I saw the fine print about the 28.99% interest! NO THANK YOU!

The fine print...keyword there.

Man I just got an offer to buy my SB5000 today :) Ah well, told em its off the market until I check out this fretless thang.

I'm curious to see how you dig the bass passive. You may end up selling your SB the way it is. :)

You get hit with that only if you don't pay it within the 6 month period.

something would happen where i couldn't pay it off somehow...

I realize that, but just the fact they would even try to charge that high of an interest rate just turns me off! I have had friends who have done other no interest if paid in X months financing get burned by mysteriously missing payments that they sent but were never received.

i would watch my mom stick checks in the mail weeks before the payment was due to find out that it got there a day late.

i do not trust credit card companies!

Deep Dragonburst over quilt
Blackburst edges
gold plated logo
abalone inlays
no pickguard
ivory graph tusq nut
ss strings

upon opening the case, i noticed that the pack that was used to keep the case dry spilled all over. nothing a vacuum can't handle. the only other downside is that the separate bass/treble control wont spin independently of each other. the bottom knob will turn 360 but the treble knob wont turn independent of the bass. the treble doesn't spin all the way around though. luckily i work in a repair shop and will have it looked at tomorrow.

this turned out better than i expected. the pics really don't do it justice. im horrible with pictures. it looks really close to one that is in the sb4000 gallery.

i love the sound of this bass though. i'm VERY happy with it and can't wait to bring it to rehearsal tomorrow to play it though my mesa carbine/fearful rig
