i would too vic. but, as a counselor, you have to realize that someone is going to always sway things in their favor. even if they don't realize they are doing it, most people will tell a story or their side of things with a slight advantage to their side.

ok. here's my question/thinking:

if you bought the bass from the in stock page and was able to change necks would it be cheaper than you selling the SB you have now and losing money and buying a brand new fretless SB?

If I bought a neck the way I wanted it and swapped it and, it would cost me $300 and I would have to hope I could sell the SB neck.

If I ordered a new SB the way I wanted it and sold mine for what I think its worth, it would cost me $250.

If I bought the instock fretless, swapped necks and sold the bass for what I think it's worth it would cost me, $235.

On the other hand, if I sold my bass for what I think its worth and ordered a fretless kit, I would make about $300 on the deal. But that's not really the bass I want.

i would only order a new neck if you were cool with keeping both. i doubt you could move the sb fretted neck for what you would need to.

i guess the question here is, will it sell for what you think its worth or will you have to move it for less?

would this be remotely close to the bass that you would build and have ordered? the plus to this is there would be a no wait time.

this is the least appealing option to me. wait time to get it shipped to you, then you have to finish it and put it together and if you don't like it, you're stuck with it.

your safest bet is ordering the in stock model or a new fretless so you could have that 10 day return period. IMO.

MY CARVIN IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!:hyper::eek::hyper::eek::hyper::eek:

It wasn't supposed to be finished until June 28th so i'm waiting on a check to come in before I can make my last payment. :(

I'll have it before June 28th though!
