So I emailed Carvin about sending back my SB4000 to have the body swapped for a chambered model. The exact answer from Albert at Carvin was "We do not currently sell the SB body as a part". I knew that and was hoping shipping the bass back to them would get around it, but no dice. I think I will start using my SB4000 more often for band practice and see how the weight treats me. If it's still giving my shoulder problems I may put it in the classifieds. Possibly just save up for a chambered model and then put it up once I get the new one.

Use double strap like I do. I made my own out two straps.

It's always been available..Just cant do it online without a fancy top..I went to the store and they where able to make it happen..Had to forfit the 10 day return though..

Got my fretless SB4000 neck, lined ebony. Installed it, fits like a glove, on the walnut topped one, with the Mm style humbucker at the bridge. see post 822 above. Painted the headstock black, as suggested. Didn't have to adjust the bridge/string height at all. Plays like a dream. D'Addario half rounds on it.

I thought the only blacks that where available was the solid and the trans over maple.
