Diggin' it with no face dots! Very sharp.
So I emailed Carvin about sending back my SB4000 to have the body swapped for a chambered model. The exact answer from Albert at Carvin was "We do not currently sell the SB body as a part". I knew that and was hoping shipping the bass back to them would get around it, but no dice. I think I will start using my SB4000 more often for band practice and see how the weight treats me. If it's still giving my shoulder problems I may put it in the classifieds. Possibly just save up for a chambered model and then put it up once I get the new one.
Trans black?! Is that new?
Pics?Got my fretless SB4000 neck, lined ebony. Installed it, fits like a glove, on the walnut topped one, with the Mm style humbucker at the bridge. see post 822 above. Painted the headstock black, as suggested. Didn't have to adjust the bridge/string height at all. Plays like a dream. D'Addario half rounds on it.
Just cant get my phone to take a nice pic...
