Carvin's BX1500 and B2000

Can't wait to hear your opinion! For reference: what is your current amp/cab setup?

Currently using a Schroeder 410BMF cabinet, powered by a Carvin DCM2000L power amp, plus the Schroeder Keen 4B-1 and/or Sansamp VT. I gigged the B1500 and BX1200 amps many times over the past couple of years, so I'm pretty excited to see what the B2000 can do.

Rich, when you're ready to sell that DCM2000L, you let me know! ;-)

LOL. You'll be second in line for that as I've already got a request for the power amp - pretty popular (and solid) piece of gear! I'll definitely let you know. Although I just found out that the B2000 might not make it on Friday, so I would have to wait until next weekend to gig it. We shall see.

In the grand scheme of things, having to wait a few extra days - or even two or three extra weeks if necessary - is really a very small sacrifice indeed.

Personally, I believe the laws of karma favor those customers who can exercise a healthy, though reasonable, degree of patience - especially when the vendor is behind schedule and struggling. Proving oneself to NOT be one of those neurotic, PITA customers that every retailer dreads will likely reap real benefits in the long term... :hmm:

I called last night and was told that "the engineering dept. will release them on Monday".

Not sure if that means they will actually ship Monday but I am hopeful.

I was told the same thing.

I'm hoping that they're making some minor changes (re-label the tone knobs?) and nothing major. I don't think a 1 week delay warrants a complaint, but on the other hand, I've been checking my emails 41 times per day to see if it's shipped yet! This is like a 1 week delay on Christmas! GAH!

Youse guys kill me :p

Like any fine baker will tell you: "It will be done when it's done!" There's great anticipation over the release of these 2 amps (and the future reworking of the BX500), but Carvin historically has put out good product with relatively few problems. Those of us that have experienced the bullet-proof performance of their gear have confidence (in this less than perfect world) our gear will be as advertised. Hear that Bill Gates?

Agreed...but hey, sometimes it's hard for us to contain the excitement. Oh well.

Don't I know it. Let's see...so far I've purchased eight Carvin basses, three Carvin bass amps, a full Carvin PA system with subs & monitors and a power amp with reference monitors for my recording gear. With all of that, I only had one minor issue with my B1500 which Carvin took care of extremely fast and on their dime with the shipping. It's been rock solid since like the rest of my Carvin gear.

So sure, take your time Carvin and get it right. BUT HURRY UP!!:hyper:

But seriously...even if I wanted to complain...what basis for it would I have? Carvin has been smart about this and told me that my credit card will not be charged until the amp ships.

WOW, a new amp is cool for sure. I recall ordering/recieving my new B1500 from Carvin last year. ( I did not forsee the newer, lighter 2000 coming)

But gee, I saw a few B1500's in the TB for sale CL's that were good deals for used.

Just saying. Enjoy that Big B, too bad the B2000 is not shipping already. I'll sure be looking for a good used deal on one here if it does not float a TBers boat, but I doubt it won't.

Oh Man, my B1500 arrived yesterday, but it was damaged!!!

Damn those Fedex ground guys!!!

It's going back to Carvin today and the B2000 is actually shipping now, so I don't know if I should get another B1500 or the B2000???

Anyone?

Bueller?
