As for Mr. Schuh, I believe his "creds" as a seller were (and maybe still are) the subject of discussion, not his chops.

Exactly, but in addition to the seller "creds", even if he did play with Jaco--which who knows, right?--Jaco wasn't real picky about who he associated with toward the end there, and by all reports wasn't even sure where he was, never mind who was sitting behind the drum kit on a given open mic night.

So much for those creds as a performing artist, compared to the rest of us couch potatoes.

i relic things that are damaged in shipment. someone bought that bass for $399 and got a great playing and sounding bass. most relic jobs look like the bass was in a prison music program for 30 years then drug behind a train. if you really play, a bass tends to to relic itself. so how buys relic basses anyway?

Those people here that own basses and are not "players" still spend a lot of cash on basses so they can look at them, dust and clean them etc....Of course I'm being sarcastic. I've never heard of you til now and I've been around awhile and I won't be looking into what you offer.....

i have to admit... it was poor wording and a tad bit offensive to me... but i can see what he's saying. we've all had things taken the wrong way online because voice inflection doesn't come through with the written word. it's always best (even though i don't always do it ) to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Folks, take care not to make posts dissing on relics in general, or people who like/buy relic'ed basses.

Shady bass sellers OTOH need to be shown in the daylight where everyone can see what they're up to.

An expert relic job expertly executed to expertly mimic a crappy relic job...that's where the true art of relic-ing a bass lies. You can't do that in your own backyard.

Goes against any business valuation rules I've ever come across. His price is based on what the buyer could potentially make with the company, not on any realistic appraisal of what the business is currently worth.

The name itself carries little value as it's not a known brand.
There seems to be little or no inventory.
There appears to be no real estate or developed facilities included.
The website currently gets less than 70 hits per week, many of which could be attributed to bots and crawlers. Virtually no "real" traffic.

So, and David correct me if I'm wrong, what's for sale is the concept of buying parts from various vendors, assembling them and then selling them on eBay?
