Well, Chicago was originally Chicago Transit Authority and got sued by the city to change it. So you do need to be careful about that.

I personally find naming a band alot harder when your band does not conform to any genre.

Not so much that it defines their music, but as far as catchy goes it's got it in spades. It's one of those names that sinks into people's heads to stay. A very musical pronunciation with simple terms put together in a creative and memorable way. Even if someone has never heard Megadeth, they have most likely heard of them. That's what it's all about.
They would have been smarter with an A.. less confusion for the customers.
