Changing my Stingray's preamp

I recently had two shipments from J. East to Arkansas USA. Both were shipped FedEx International Priority Express. 1- 3 days depending if a weekend is involved.

The orders were processed very quickly too.

Hope that helps. Maybe shipping to France will be the same?

The guy from John East told me that it would be sent immediately, shipped by Fedex but that it can be delayed because of the customs.

Yes agree, a great choice. Once I changed the pup and put in the 3 band, it changed was this into a bass that was so much more versatile! The sweepable mids really is the secret sauce that really makes a huge difference. The Nordstrand MM pup has so much more to offer, better lows as well as better balance leaning towards the early Stingray tones. Ray zing is still on tap with the pull bright function that works differently than just boosting the treble. My amp cab and pedals allow this bass now to cover way more tonalities than previously available.

Yes MaxSpinrun, The guy from John East explained to me that the sweepable mids was very important on this preamp for the way it sounds.

So, I am going to have a new preamp to have a better sound... Keeping the original pick up. What do you think of this, guys ? Would it be even better if I get a new pick up ? ( I am thinking of the Delano ).

After I installed the new pre, the stock pup wasn't so bad. After Nordstrand pup install, even better. Try the new pre first. Live with it for a while, then decide if a new pup is in order.
