Chapelle

I dont find him too funny... but i must say, Clayton Bigspy is freakin' hilarious.

I love Chapelle. Mencia...meh, sometimes, but he's too mean. I love Dave Attell, too.

As for Dave Chapelle and "running away"...sometimes fame and money bring more problems than they are worth. Everyone wants something from you. No one will just let you be who you are, because you have money. Everyone treats you differently than before. It becomes more difficult to relate to friends and family, who don't live in the same "world" anymore.

Kurt Cobain killed himself due to, in part, the fame messing up his head. Dave Chapelle had a nervous breakdown and did something about it. I'm glad he did what he needed to do to take care of himself. That is always better than a shotgun to the head.

Cherie

Sketch comedy is always hit/miss and Dave was no exception. Some bombs, but the good ones are some of the smartest, funniest shiite I've ever seen on TV.

My fav is still the Race Draft: "Konichiwa bitches!"

My understanding was that after the big payday CC was getting all involved in the direction of the show. He already had trepidations about the pace of the shooting schedule, and when the pressure started to come down he said screw this and went back to his ranch in Ohio for some family time and therapy.

Have you seen his latest concert film? The man is still a genius.

I'll also +1 Carlos for tackling topics Dave wouldn't even touch with the same brutal honesty laced with a sense of humanity. Mencia's bit at the end of one of his concert films regarding playing in front of a handicapped crowd is what real stand-up comedy is all about. As the Coz said all those years ago on Fat Albert:
"And when it's all over with, ya never know, ya just mighta learned something."

i liked the first season of the show. fistacuffs rapping "turn my headphones up!" was one of the hardest times i've ever laughed

season 2 and the new lost episodes have their moments but overall don't really do it for me

always laughed at his standup
