Cheap + Cheap = Experiment

Yes I wonder how the Aliens feel about us Humans reverse engineering their Tech:)

Seriously this has been going on since the beginning in all industries;

In Music gear you have the obvious Bass and Guitar copy's along with many electronic designs

In Home Audio and Music Gear many tried hiding their designs with goop and erasing parts numbers etc. but that made repairs difficult

Not to mention Corporate and Government espionage
Lately when I think of aliens, I imagine them sitting around a turntable ( for which we gave them the design), listening to Chuck Berry on The Golden Record, eyes wide saying "what do you make of this noise?".

The record that went up to space was not listened to, they saw the record as a food. Chuck Berry is a flavor.

If we as buyers dont support original ideas/ip’s… we may have fewer new products. We are in a niche market.

I always try to support Original artists/designers/etc. a lot of work, love, etc is put into such development and imho i respect that with my dollar. I also respect companies that keep manufacturing local and do not outsource overseas.

I buy my dingwalls canadian, rics american, traynors canadian, oranges british, and my darkglass’ finland(ish?). But i admit i am also in a position to be able to afford it. When I started out i just got what i could afford (but i did work hard and save up). No shame in that.

A crank, what they call a nutter in Blighty. (Briton) No elitarists here, never seen it. I Do enjoy seeing invented new words though, unless there is a regular word they are replacing.
I just bought a Caline Wine Cellar preamp and I love it, $44. I also have a ssbs Mini on the board I will never sell, but I can ask over $300 for it now.
Just got the Wine Cellar too….sounds good! Perhaps not the amount of drive I was expecting. Still, for the $?Hell yeah.

I think it's the perfect amount for a little extra harmonic movement. I have overdrives, a veritable collection since the quest for one started in 2005, to sound like Grand Funk Live Album (waiting for an EQD Blumes tomorrow)
