Cheap G&L necks, who's using them in builds?

The G&L necks for the Tribute series that are available for $30-33. I don't think you can buy the wood, truss rod and fret wire for what they sell 'em for. So, who's using them in builds?
I bought two, a RH and a lefty. On the righty, I found the tuner holes unevenly spaced, but other than that, a very useable neck for the money. I reshaped the headstock, and am very happy with it so far. I plan to use the lefty for a reverse headstock build and I think it will work great.
So, post your pics of your builds,
Here's my J neck on a P body w/ a J setup. I put it together (sans electronics) to confirm string spacing, intonation, etc. and it played great. I just did I the final sanding and am waiting on the perfect harmonic convergence of humidity and available time to do the finish.

So in the meantime, show us what you've got..........

I suppose that's why they call it a challenge! i was hoping to come in under a C note, but it ain't gonna happen.

I bought a few and had great results. I like a chunky C shaped neck so for me it was a great match. It was good practice doing the finish work on the frets and cutting the nut. I reshaped the headstocks as well. Both of these are G&L necks.

Great looking basses Means! Yep, the necks I got def suffered from fret sprout, but nothing a little filing won't take care of.

Love your Cataldo designs, and your finish work is always spectacular. That reverse HS looks great on that bass.

Thanks! Here's how the build started. Testing to see if the trussrod would keep the neck flat under tension. Works fine.

I used one on a low budget build for myself. Did a complete fret level, adjusted the truss rod and achieved very low string action without any problems. The neck has been very stable. Best $33 I've ever spend... WOW that's a big pic!!!

I was referring to Dadagoboi's mockup. Nice build Jose. Yep, they are def the best $30 necks I've ever played. I see a few more in my future.

Thanks. I'll be buying another in the near future. I'll experiment shaving some material from the back to try a thinner profile.

You have to check back frequently if they don't have the nut width/fingerboard material your looking for.
