Cheap Pedals (Fuzz, Dirt, Chorus, Delay, etc...)

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody here have a list or references for cheap/budget pedals around 20 to 35 €.

I have seen the thread "$20 Mosky Black Rat" (i´ve ordered the pedal) but i´m on the hunt for a delay and chorus with a high quality/price relation. I don´t exepect a 35€ pedal to have the same performance of a 150€ pedal but there are pretty good deals out there.

I´ve got this far the American Sound and a KOKKO FCP-2 compressor.

I´m on the hunt of that price pedals because i pretty much in house.

best regards!

Also try search for Joyo and Behringer effect pedals, as well as TC Electronic's budget analog line of effect pedals.

Joyo mostly makes great pedals, TC Electronic's budget analog pedals are really great as well, Behringer is a bit more of a crap shoot as the quality varies a lot from effect to effect.

HoTone also makes some great relatively cheap effect pedals, but not quite as cheap as Joyo and Behringer.

Ammoon make clones of Joyos that are even cheaper still. Same layout, design, even colour on some, just text and logo is different.

I have the Ultimate Drive and a Compressor by them.

The first series of Danelectros from the 90's can be picked up dirt cheap used. They all sound fantastic.

Careful with the plastic input jacks and knobs though if drunks are going to be walking all over your pedalboard.

Joyo pedals works well and generally suits bass guitars. This brand also produces the Dr.J pedals, they cost a little more but they do the job well enough.
Mooer's or X-vive's micro pedals are also OK for the price. You can find clones which are more or less cheaper (Ammoon, Kokko...) but I haven't tried them.

With the cheap pedals, you generally need a noise gate (cheap one of course) because they always (I mean, with my gear) add background noise.

Nice collection. I use to own danelectro pedals. I've had the fab chorus and the cool cat cc-1 chorus. great sounding chorus pedals for the price. I was bummed when my cool cat cc-1 malfunctioned. :( it was one of the best chorus pedals I've ever used.

Oh, those aren't mine. Just a random photo from google images. I agree the Cool Cat is an amazing chorus. Basically a Boss CE-2 without the vintage-hype and accompanying price tag. I see these four all the time in the collections of pros. The guy who runs JHS pedals is very fond of his Dan-Echo and it was an inspiration for him. Prince used the Fab Tone which is a killer distortion. The Daddy-O is a clone of the Marshall Guv'nor with better EQ.

I've got the 18V version of the cool cat. I need to get off my duff and hunt down the other 3 and maybe even the 9V cool cat.

The Hotone pedals are pretty great. Well made, cool design with the LEDs lighting up the knob and take up no space. They are a bit more expensive than the Joyo and Behringer stuff

I´ve heard a lot of great things about the UD. I´m sure to get it.

When it comes to good cheap pedals, joyo and mooer comes to mind. if it's particular recommendations you need, I would recommend these pedals.

Dirt - joyo california sound/british sound

Chorus - joyo analog chorus/future chorus

flanger(if you need one) - mooer e-lady

The joyo chorus sounds great, just don´t know what to get, the analog or the future. Although as TheSeagots have stated, the Chorus from Digitech sounds great. I want to use it more with my fretless.
