It's great to know people don't take themselves too serious. Somehow I find myself strangely attracted to that bass. I guess it's the same thing that makes me like this -

fully agree "tone" is overrated IMO, find something good, stick with it and play:D

The playing is more impressive then the tone anyday of the week. Tone finding IMO is after you had a few beers, band practise is done and your just hanging at the drummers place:smug:

Fully disagree. What does finding something good actually mean? It's probably different for every player but the common denominators are A:"does the bass play right and feel comortable?" and B: "Does the bass have the sound (Tone) that is in my head and will help me make the music I want?"
You could play half and whole notes on the root all night long and if your tone is killin' your band is going to sound great.
