Cher! Last night in SA a review

Wow. I hope I'm still gigging when I'm 80 years old (well, OK, Cher is 73), and look that good. Maybe without the blue or green hair though. ;)

Au contraire! In my circles the green or blue hair is a must. (But I'll admit I do hang in some pretty weird circles.)

I'd be happy still being alive and able to move around on my own at 80.

I'm getting a WIG. lol
A friend of mine had the honor and pleasure of touring with Cher this summer
as a backup singer/dancer. From USA to Europe.
She is currently back at work with Trans Siberian Orchestra.
Way to go Jodi Katz.

I got to see Jodi last night with TSO in New Orleans. It was an amazing show. Their shows improve every year. Jodi is an amazing vocalist. The whole band are amazing musicians. Stayed for the meet and greet afterwards and can say that they are all very nice and appreciate their fans. They truly love what they do.

^ it is interesting to note this B board has folks that know all kinds of industry people.
Before the show we had an angle could see Cher behind the curtain hugging all the dancers. BTW I was in a skybox suite where i was the only male with about 15 middle aged ladies with the Chardonnay. They were ready to PARTY! Being i had just driven the mad max ride down I35 to San Antonio and it was a weekday and I wasnt drinking -i was awkwardly hiding wherever I could LOL
ZOINKS!

Yes, I'm sure that these days there's enough plastic that she'd melt in direct sunlight but back in the 70's I'd tend to believe things were much more natural.

they don't use a lot of plastic for lifts and tucks. just sayin'...

besides, if i had the money, the nerve and access to the right doctors, i'd be tucking and nipping it up there, too :D

Jodi was 17 when I met her. Our BL was her music teacher and she wanted to learn to sing with a band.
He put her on stage with us for a whole summer. She did good and worked hard to get where she is.

After awful I35 traffic we get it and are rewarded with an amazing show!
How does this lady never age?! She is still jumping around in the dance routines as well.
Starting out with a blue hair ensemble.
Highlights are when she sings with Sonny on the screen -Beat goes on and of course "I got you babe"
Holding down the low end was Ashley D with great green hair and a good beat.
IF this arena show comes through your town go!

I've never been a big fan of the music but I do admire her showmanship(if I may)...

She is still blowing audiences away at 80, and I usually have to grab a stool halfway through the night... my hat's off to Cher!

I can't speak for her bassist, but her current drummer, Jason Sutter, is from my hometown. Great guy with a heck-of-a-lot of talent, and a list of good experience; from Chris Cornell, to Marilyn Manson, to Foreigner. I urge you to check out his compositions and cadences.
