oh hey! i'll be official in a few hours! wooo.
i have a 4 string set of chromes, but i might take em back to GC and get a 5 string set of flats if they have it, but i don't think they do.

I was just thinking about that when I sent the last post! Be prepared to be in Bass Heaven! Lat time I was at GC, I saw 5 string sets. That is such a killer combo in my book! Worth the trip!
My local guitar center is miles behind the rest it seems.
i know for a fact that they don't have the 5 string sets, but i'll check anyway...tomorrow, hehe. i do have 2 sets of Lakland strings at home already...some nickels and then some steels i won from the LOG. Plus, Leo said he put a set in the box for me because i had to wait so long.

i think i want to get a 'copy' of a warwick thumb from lakland, but with two chi's at the bridge instead of j's.
they should make a split coil chi to use in place of a p-bass pup

For Lakie 5ers, you'll need the super long Chromes. My GC only carries the longs, which are only long enough for 34" scale strung across the top

i totally forgot about that...thanks for the reminder. my GC carries only a couple 5 string sets and none of them are flats, so i just returned the strings i got for the sterling and put it on store credit for some reason, lol.
maybe i'll get them to order me some strings.
