Chorus Pedals that like Low End

After my exhaustive search a few years ago, I chose the bass boost chorus. Solid construction. A wide range of sounds depending on what you need. Once I found my setting, is is either on or off. I don't fiddle with it. It sounds amazing. I may tweak the blend knob a hair depending on which bass I'm using and whether or not I am using my amp or going straight to the house.

Won't speak on behalf of the others, but I can't say I dislike the CEB3. It was my 1st chorus and kept it for quite a while. Then I started trying others and found the CEB3's flavor a little meh compared to some others' warmth and richness. Matter of personal taste, I guess.

How's the eqd sea machine on bass? I had and really liked the tech21 bass boost chorus, lots of control. You can dial it up and down. I sold it because I wanted a delay pedal, but whenever I see one in the classifieds get around I hundered bucks I get ready to pull the trigger again if it hangs around for cheap.

Most people I know say that the Sea Machine is too subtle and dark sounding for bass. It seems that tonality wise, Tech 21 and the Polytope are better overall for bass. I've personally been very satisfied by the Tech 21.

Another thread where im goona suggest the Moog Clusterflux, proper stonking chorus! the only other chorus thats come close is a cog effects custom which was based on the old brown Boss chorus.

It's a good suggestion, but I currently have it set to low rate / high depth for when I kick on the Fuzz for a great drone-tone. I hate adjusting settings in a show and want something that I can use clean for a traditional, chorus sound.

I have to say, the Providence Anidime has made the short-list and EQD is looking like it will get bumped (though I do love their stuff). I haven't found a great audio clip for the Polytope, but someone has to have one in a store around here. I actually work near Source Audio's home office and may see if they have demos set up to look at the Orbital and Gemini. I love Moog and it would certainly be an option if I had $450 to drop. The Boss PS-3 is intriguing me as well.

I'm less worried about the option for dialing up the low-end uneffected, as I will be putting it in post EQ. The Mesa Boogie MPulse lets you dial your clean tone up or down on anything you run through the effects loop. I was really hoping to get a chorus sound on those low notes; I like a very wet sound (i.e. not subtle) when engaging pedals.

Thank you all again for the input, I'm going to be a much more informed consumer as I hassle local music vendors to demo the gear.

Keep in mind that chorus is nothing more than a detuned, delayed signal, mixed with your dry signal. It's most intense when the signal is a 50/50 mix. If you go beyond that 50/50 mix, you're actually going back to 'subtle' territory, but with the detuned signal louder than your dry, so you end up sounding like ****, IMO.

I like the Cosmichorus for its dual expression pedal inputs, heaps of different sounds malleable with your foot – but since you don't like to adjust things I'll suggest trying a CoolCat Chorus (original 18v). I don't know how it compares to the other suggestions in the thread, but it has a stronger flavour than my old brown Boss, which is good in its own right but super subtle.

Whether the Cool Cat Chorus retains enough low end, that's subjective.
