a large +1 here. I guess the reason this has me so fired up is that I did plenty of stupid things as a kid, too. The only difference is I seemed to have some instinct to keep me from getting caught (of course it probably helped that I am a white male but that's another thread).

I tell you one thing..... this black/white, zero tolerance world a bunch of these cats live in is a really interesting place.
The only problem is that it's a double-edged sword.....

Don't make a mistake. Don't get pissed at the guy that drunkenly stumbles into your rig at the next gig and punch him. Don't stab your brakes when the guy is riding 3 feet from your rear bumper. Don't get distracted by your cell phone and hit that kid in your neighborhood. Don't get caught with a roach in your ashtray. Don't cuss in public. Don't jaywalk. Don't make any mistake....... ever.

So you think those offenses are in any way similar to things that Chris Henry did? WOW!! Next time a thug pulls a gun on you we will see how much sympathy you have for him...Mistakes are one thing, but constant mistakes show lack of respect for yourself and others.

Uh, yeah, I don't punch drunks at shows, I don't have road rage, I don't have any sympathy for distracted manslaughter charged cell phone users or people that have roaches in their ashtrays.

I'm not a prude nor perfect, but I do accept the rules of society and don't have any regard for those that don't.

All I can say is, when everyone who's being a complete schmuck about the loss of life in this thread... should hope they lived thier lives in such a way that when people speak of it in a positive light. Bashing the dead = classless act. No amount of humanitarianism can change that.

I have not done any work with UNICEF. But I have made a handful of trips, at my expense, to New Orleans and Mississippi to do relief work after Katrina. I also spent a few weekends last year after our terrible snowstorm up here cutting firewood, and delivering food and necessities to senior citizens and homebound disabled people. Two years ago, I helped rebuild homes for people in southwest Washington and Oregon who were devastated by the catastrophic flooding.

If you think I lack compassion and heart, thus leaving this "vague, dead spot in the center of your being", then so be it. I don't think poorly of you one bit. All I really know about you is related to football since that is all we talk about. I made a comment about not feeling all that bad, and now this is what you paint me out to be. I'm confused too.

Like I said, it is sad he died. I'm not happy about that at all.

So, Chris Henry is Holy War? And apparently he died? Yet his posts live on in the collective douchebaggery that is this thread.

When I die anyone can say anything that they want, I don't care, I'll be feeding worms. If it's true, it will be positive anyway. While topside, I'm going to have no regrets calling a bad apple a bad apple, dead or alive.

Well, I have some sympathy for anyone caught with a roach in their ashtray and getting anything more than a possesion ticket, but not the rest.
