Well, I believe it is the Deep Impact on the album, and throughout most of the tours until the Resistance tour. When I saw him live on that tour, he used the Woolly Mammoth. The mastotron was not added until after the resistance tour.

+1 both times I saw them during the Resistance tour (5 March 2010 and 7 October 2010 IIRC) he was using the mammoth.

So I listened to the demo Kaputsport did of the clone. To my ears it sounds pretty damn similar. Not too much difference. Of course it probably sounds different in person. I mean for a clone, sounds pretty damn good. Of course there's a difference but it sounds like you can at least dial in some Muse tones with it on the cheaps too.

On top of rack: (yellow pedal) maybe a Way Huge Fat Sandwich? (green pedal) Way Huge Swollen Pickle. (red pedal) Way Huge Angry Troll. (light green pedal) Way Huge Green Rhino. (blue pedal) Way Huge Aqua Puss. (cream pedal) his old Crowther Audio Prunes & Custard.

In his rack: (top/left purple pedal) Way Huge Pork Loin. (black/blue checkered pedal) according to Kaputsport, it's his HBE Hematoma. That's about it really, in that picture anyway...

It is the details that are kind of glassed over...

The clone will get close, when all knobs are dimed... The problem? The animato is not even close to those settings. So, when you put the clone at max everything, you are emulating the real one at 1/2 values. Maybe that was the design of the clone, but to me, if you clone a pedal, you clone the pedal, not the sound the pedal made at one time.

Maybe some modifications of the clone are in order...but by someone else, cause I've got no idea what I'm doing when it comes to mods! I can only solder and follow someone else's instructions.
