It was my understanding that he only slapped on Peg. How did he get that percussive sound in certain parts of the song? BTW, did he just slap with no plucks on Peg? It almost sounds like he was using flatwounds.

Yep, he's doing some octave pops in there, to my ear, and maybe pops a string here and there throughout, but what the's doing in there I can do plucking with finger and thumb, don't need to slap with the thumb. I think there might be a fine line there but I'm not a slapper so if that required a slap I couldn't do it.Sounds like he's thumping and plucking in the last measure of the chorus, when Fagan sings "...With her eyes on fire" but to me the rest of it sounds like that's just the way he plays fingerstyle.
