Chunkiest/meatiest Jazz Bass neck?

Fattest neck I ever had was from Allparts - the maple with black blocks, binding and clear gloss finish. Don't know the dimensions but might be available from Allparts. I loved the fat back but it adjusted at the heel with a screwdriver (major PITA) and now I like to have identical necks on all my basses so I use the standard contour Warmoth.

Yep I have a blocked All Parts neck and its the biggest J neck I have ever played and i have played and owned hundreds.

.. the Classic Series 70's has a nice full 'meaty' feel to it ... I no longer have one, so unable to measure, but they were introduced in '08 and are still current production ... blocked and bound neck with bullet truss rod ... I have had several of the Classic Series 60's, andd the 70's was always a bit thicker (front to back) ...

From many accounts, this is indeed the case…Jazz width, vintage/curvy fretboard radius and thicker front-to-back. Some say it feels a bit like a baseball bat in their hands. Anyway, here's a pic, but it sounds like the OP wants a maple with black blocks and binding. However, if he were to change his mind, it's worth pointing out Fender sells these necks through their online store.

my jazz V is a MIM and the neck is fat as my bass tone. definitely a good suggestion

Yeah the 70's jazz necks had the 'U' profile as opposed to the 60's 'C' profile...

I own a '78 Jazz and it's neck is pretty beefy.
