Chunkiest/meatiest Jazz Bass neck?

What's the dimensions/years of the thickest Fender Jazz Bass neck ever produced/made? I may sound like a silly question, but I really don't care for the slimmer, Geddy Lee type Jazz necks; I prefer them to be thicker or "beefier" but not as thick or meaty as a P-Bass neck.

Fattest neck I ever had was from Allparts - the maple with black blocks, binding and clear gloss finish. Don't know the dimensions but might be available from Allparts. I loved the fat back but it adjusted at the heel with a screwdriver (major PITA) and now I like to have identical necks on all my basses so I use the standard contour Warmoth.

My '65 L series Jazz has the thickest neck of any Jazz I've played. I love it. it feels like a slim P bass neck. Really spoiled me, newer 4 string Jazzes feel too thin to me.

Don't know the dims, but stay away from 62 ri jazz necks too, they're like pencils by the nut
Yeah Thanks, That's why I don't wanna get the Geddy Lee neck that they're selling on stratosphereparts.com, I love the look, but I believe it's way too thin for my liking. If I could get a neck like this, but thicker/meatier that'd be great.

Yep. Allparts necks are pretty hefty. The one I have on my current project bass is very nice but the slotted truss rod adjustment is a bit of an anachronism.

I also like that it is (except for the skunk stripe) a single piece of maple, although that creates debate around these parts.

You can buy a Allen Wrench style screwdriver (L shape with screwdriver tip). That works if the rod isn't super tight and of course still requires a slot in the body and PG to avoid removing the neck. That is one thing I love a about Warmoths (and Stingrays) you get the heel adjustment benefits without the PITA factor.

Yep, my Allparts neck is bolted to a Warmoth body that has a nice long heel adjustment slot (presumably designed for their extended fretboards). I haven't needed to adjust the TR yet, but when I do I have one of these: Invalid Link Removed
