glad to hear about the tracking issues. i was thinking about getting one of these, but i'll wait a while till the issues get worked out.

after hearing the synth clips on their website i've gotta have one. no BMS or DI or G5 can do that glide synth stuff. that's the shizz

Yes.

It has the same circuits as the Brown Dog and 00Funk, though obviously it's easier to tweak the two individual pedals.

So Bootsy is designing some patches for the OS to share with us OS owners through Chunks website!
At this point tracking may be a problem but not with all the synth sounds. Many of the preset patches have no issues with tracking. Lets not forget the OS has an decent beat machine, decent octaver, nice tuner, awsome fuzz, and awsome filter as well. Get one you wont regret it.

Just FYI the only current issues with the O.S. relate to tracking stability on the oscillator-based sounds. There's no problems with the filter and fuzz.

I disagree. If you are using octave with the filter sounds (or even milder fuzz settings) the OS can get frustrating. More frustrating than it is supposed to be.

I can't tell ya why, but I can tell you that it was an issue for me and others have had the same experience with the brown dog

it's more noticeable at higher gain setting but sheesh

i wish it weren't so, but it is

I said the oscillator is iffy, but the filter and fuzz are fine. Are you talking about feeding the unit with an outboard octave pedal? Or feeding the fuzz into an outboard octave pedal? The former shouldn't make any difference, the latter would be the fault of your octave pedal, or your thinking.

Sounds like a fault on the unit you used. Mine doesn't do that.

speaking of the OS, have anyone tried the Aux output? I tried to use it as a Dry out but I get a little bit of noise there is it normal?

Can you explain this a little bit I really don't understand what's the "problem" with the bypass or in this case the "symptoms"

My OS never bleeds and I have never had issues with the tracking of the envelope filter or the fuzz.

Well, yeah. Like I said tracking on the oscillator isn't good enough yet, so octave sounds aren't going to work so well.

I hadn't thought people might actually be using the presets that ship with it, I've been knocking up my own patches for stuff as I need them. The only default patch I use is a plain fuzz through a static band-pass filter, can't remember what it's called but it sounds ace and it was something I wouldn't have thought of doing myself.

I find the factory presets to be pretty cool just need a little bit tweaking to suit the owners tastes
