Kingston KZ4 in burled Maple.
No matter how hard I try by degenerating spine just won't let me handle a 5 anymore, so going with a really nice 4, and liquidate just about everything else. So seriously if anyone is interested in any of the gear I had there, lets talk.
If I had a problem with instrument weight, I'd play a Hofner or a Dano Longhorn...both weigh next to nothing.
Unless you didn't like Hofner or Dano's.![]()
I find the appearance to be ugly.
But since I was stating a personal opinion, we'd have to assume that I do...the only hypothetical condition being a preference for a very light instrument.
I like 'em, but I also grew up with them. Aesthetics aside, i dig the sound.
Yeah I went to Sam Ash the other night played BOTH the Hofner and Longhorn. While I could get used to the beatle bass, I really didn't care for the Longhorn.
The MTD was the lightest full size/conventional type bass I played that night, so I'm going to stay in denial as long as I can.![]()
I think there's one available in the classifieds here right now.

Not any more, it's in a box headed toward me.
