After ordering an Eventide PowerMax (same as Cioks DC7) with a Grip mount for no-drill mounting to my PedalTrain Nano, I ran across some information stating that the Grip does not work with the Nano..here being one of them:

I was bummed, but long story short...it works fine! So if you are on the fence, don't hesitate to use the Grip with a Nano.

That’s good to know! I’m going to be picking up a Nano+, and have been wondering about what power supplies I can make work with it.

There are no concerns at all about the Nano+, as it has lots more room underneath than the Nano because one of the rails is just the thickness of the metal underneath. I would go with a Cioks with the Grip though. I like Truetone power supplies and I have two of them, but I wouldn't get one for a board where you'd have to drill to mount it. But if you don't mind drilling, the Truetone CS6 fits under the Nano+ (and the Nano) just fine and costs a whole lot less than the Cioks DC7.

Are you doing this with the Cioks DC7? Or is it one of the other models?

DC7 and an Adam. Considering doing it to a DC5 I have currently mounted on a metro.
With the velcro on, I can mix n match them between smaller boards depending on what's on the board. My main bigger board has a ciokolate mounted underneath.

Just ordered an Eventide PowerMAX for my Metro 16 board.

I've got 6 pedals on there now, but have had seven pedals in the past, so room to add one if I want.
I like the idea of having a free outlet that I could use to power a separate DI/preamp kind of situation in addition to the board.

LATE post, but there is another solution. I have the Nano+ and needed more space under the board. I drilled out the rivets holding the two front feet and then used a self-tapping screw to install 1.125 inch tall rubber feet instead of the original. Cost less than $5! I also did not like the flat board and the taller rubber feet tilt the board a little for me. This is like the ones I got - I got mine in a 2-pack locally.

Just got a DC5 for my Nano board. It already had dual lock on so I’ve just used that for now, but I hate that the board feet no longer touch the ground. I step on the tuner to mute quite a bit so will find it very annoying not having the board flush to the ground.

Is that Eventide grip in the OP the exact same dimensions, screws etc as the Cioks grip? If so it seems odd that they say the grip won’t fit Nano boards if they actually do. I could use the template and mount the DC5 as per the guide videos, but as I’d have to buy a center punch & metal drill bit to do so, I kind of think I might as well get the grip, which at least can be easily moved across if needed, rather than have to drill. My DC5 has the side screw holes so maybe using the grip is the best option. Thanks

Yes they are exactly the same.

Quick update. I now understand why CIOKS say that the grip won't work on a Pedaltrain Nano board. I guess the DC5 is a few millimetres wider than the Eventide posted earlier, as it was incredibly difficult to push the unit with grip attached into the recess. I almost gave up but eventually with a lot of persuasion I squeezed it down. The fact that I inadvertently scraped some paint off the underside of the board trying to get the thing down shows you how tight a fit it is.

So technically CIOKS are right and it doesn't fit, but if you are very determined you can make it fit, you just need some patience and a Sharpie ready to go over the scratch marks! I guess they have to state that it doesn't fit because if they didn't, I'm sure most people less determined than I was would give up quickly, get upset about scraping their board and want their money back.

Hopefully now it's down, I won't need to shuffle it left or right, or I can see a whole load more paint being scraped off. Still, nice to have it flush against the underside of the board without the overhang from velcro and the board's feet being up in the air with the whole board balancing on the unit.

Ahh yes makes sense! Maybe they will update their info to say it's only an issue with the DC5 since the DC7 does fit.

Sorry for the necro bump.. has anyone mounted a DC-7 on a nano+ using the same method you would use with the DC-5/Atom (Screws through the top of the pedaltrain into the holes on the psu)?
