Thanks, I'm thinking that's probably the best way to go.
I really only asked (and I forgot to mention this) but the bass tuned to C is 34" vs the 35" one I'll be using for B. So, I guess worst case I can try out the set I know I like and go from there. However .124 for 2.5 steps down even w/ CK's may be too light...![]()
The difference in scale length wont make as big of a deal tension-wise as you might think. The added inch only accounts for a few pounds, which might not even be as much as a full gauge increase.
.124 is fine for 2.5 steps down... it just depends on what you're two steps down from.
