Classic, jurassic and tragic headstock design

Well, I think the most awesome design ever made its the Tobias basses.

But, I also made by myself some designs too... here are some picks from my basses:

This one is appealing to me because it's somewhere in between a Fender and a Musicman.

Classic & ornamental. The spade kinda refers to the ace of spades that you may find on spots where others leave it, or dealt to you from the rock 'n roll deck.

CLASSICS:

Music Man 3+1, Tobias, Rick, Alembic Crown, Ken Smith Crown, Warwick "Gumby"

JURASSIC:

Fender Tele, Alembic Cone

TRAGIC: To the point that I would not buy the bass because of it.

Kubicki, Danelectro, BC Rich, Eshenbaugh, Elrick "Slab"

TOO NEW TO BE CLASSIC, BUT SWEET, NONETHELESS

MTD, Jerzy Drozd, Hanewinckel, Brubaker

Just my opinion......

Peace,

James

It's one of those things where, at first, you don't think it'll ever look "good", but one day, it just starts working for you.

Especially after you play one...

I've had a few basses with headstocks I wasn't initially crazy about (Elrick NJS, Linc Luthier, Eshenbaugh) but after owning them I wouldn't change a thing.

The bass in the middle was ordred with an extended headstock. I'm the second owner...

This one grew on me too...

I try to look at the instrument as a whole. The Gumby headstocks arent for me, but they just look right with a Rickenbacker or a Hofner or something along those lines...

I personally think the Fenders look good, and I love the MusicMan heads, especially the Bongo. I think it fits perfectly with the body, and I lust after a Bongo 5.

As for strange headstocks, these two get the nod from me (sorry if anyone already posted, Im at work and they block a lot of photo sites and such). The first is the Modulus Buzzard, and the second is some wierd art school grad project some guy built. Its supposed to be a "slide bass." I dunno if its even playable, but it looks cool/strange/bad/weird.
