And here are some new pics. My friend was over at my house after church and he had his camera gear with him, so he took some shots of the LG5 for me. [Photos taken with a Canon 5D MK I with a Canon 24-70 f2.8L lens]

Aaaand, just for kicks... is anyone looking to possibly letting go of their RA5 or LM5 during the later part of this year? :hiding: Let me know so I can be first on your "to go to" list for if/when you sell :p.

This is really not that big of a deal at all, and in no way should be sole cause for dumping an otherwise perfectly functional bridge. A little loctite blue will fix it forever. All that needs to happen is put a little resistance on the threads. Done.

svt: the beeswax is a neat solution to bridge screws...

if you use loctite; use the blue.
red will bond tightly enough you'll need a propane torch to move them again. that might be bad for the finish.....................

Ok, so not to seem like a jerk for saying the above, seriously, IMHO you only need a VERY SMALL amount. Just enough to, say, create a "line" in the threads down one side of the screw... you don't need to make sure it goes all the way around the screw, or even all the way up or down. Really, just enough to make it just slightly "sticky" in the threaded hole of the saddle is truly enough. :)

Guys thanks for all of the advice. I WILL MOST DEF do this resolve first. I do really like the sound.

@ Kimsungmin.. Thanks for the compliments bro. Im glad you like the vids. Ive been touring with Coalo for the past 5 years. Its been awesome. Ill let ya know if we are close to ya so you can come out!!

Yeah the beeswax was a trick i got from an old luthier back in the70s. Didnt mess the finish and is just enough resistance to not cause the joint to cease up...Worked real well , its clear in color and undetectable.... just enough to be slightly sticky.. I dont even know if Loctite was invented back then.. :)

But the propane torch idea could be a fun science project.. with some fresh nitro finish close by...:D Maybe my user name should have been Pyro..:)

@ Vic and KJung: Haha Thanks, and I REALLY feel blessed to have this bass at my age; probably don't deserve it, and it even warranted me selling off my MTD in the later part of 2009 because after getting this one [my LG5]... I didn't feel like playing the MTD at church much haha. EVEN though the MTD was great too, I just think I've found the sound that's just ME :).

@ Mike: Yea, I would love to come out to see you guys if you're ever near in the So Cal region! Funny you say that because when I was initially planning on buy an LG5 exactly around this time last year, it was supposed to be like the one you have now but with the Hipshot bridge. If you ever do get to order another one, the CAOJ finish is great even though all his other finishes are great too.

Mike, in my professional opinion I think your bass is broken beyond repair. I think you should just sell it to me and I'll have to make due with it :hiding:

Thanks for the encouragement Vic, and yea I do count myself blessed/lucky to have been able to afford the basses I've had starting at the age of 21 when I got my first "high end" bass haha.

Tom: Appreciate the compliment and to reassure those that don't have an AC of their own, the "good looking-ness" is about... 99% the bass, and 1% the camera haha.
