Here I am, too!
Actually, I got this bass last June, and I love it more every day I play it...

AC LG Classic Supreme, sonic blue
Mmm. If I were to get a second Coppolo, this would definitely be a direction I'd look at as well. NICE bass!

And she plays and sounds amazingly well...it was a preowned bass Jimmy offered me...
Now I'm thinking about getting the bent plate bridge, and I suppose noone of you would disagree, right? :D

Thanks to fellow talkbasses turnuptheBASS (will) I am now the proud owner of an LG5! I think I pestered him until he decided to sell it to me :)

Will got the bass from Jimmy in 2008 and by the time his order was complete no longer played much music. The bass has sat unplayed since then, still has the plastic on the pickguard, control cavity and tuners!

I just got the bass this morning and I can tell that it is going to be perfect! As close as you can get to a new bass without the 9 month wait.

I'll post my pictures later but here is a quick shot that Will sent me.

2008 AC LG5
Aged Olympic White
DN fingerboard
clay dots
AC preamp
matching headstock

Duude! I can't believe Will actually sold it [without letting me know!], haha well I guess his camera needs outweighed his bass needs.

I was a tough deal! He was hesitant to sell the bass and actually changed his mind several times.

I don't blame him, but the bottom line is that the bass was not getting played and he was happy to let it go to someone who will give it a lot of playing time:bassist:

I'm thinking about ordering a Standard or Classic LG5. Which one wold you get? I'm trying to hold out on an used one, but no one is giving them up. :crying: The 10 to 12 month wait will kill me and I said to myself, "once I order one, someone will post one on TB! I like daphne blue, surf green, but really like the CAOJ! :hyper:

NICE!...Isn't that the one with the thin DN board sandwiched with a maple fretboard laminate like Paul Turner's?

Yeah, it is it!
Half of the fingerboard depth is maple, the top part is DN.
Jimmy told me that, besides DN being very scarce, the maple adds some brightness to an usually dark sounding wood.
Anyway, I appreciate all the good words about this beauty, but you must direct them to Jimmy, he's really an artist!!!

Cool

That is what k own as a capped finger board intsead of a slab board. Fender speaking they were slab 60-62 and capped all the wash up to the vi reissues.

So with dn this islike a 63-64:

Yes theoretically brighter

Now...with an actual cap is the neck machined thicker and radiused as opposed to this laminate approach?

Ok Playa's, I JUST ORDERED MY LG5! Jimmy's a cool cat. I went with CAOJ/Match Headstock and tort PG. I'm like a kid in a candy store. :hyper:
I'll get an LM5 in the same colour later this year, hopefully!
What I find interesting is that, besides Jimmy's creations being far from cheap, it seems one is not enough...

Exactly! That's how I was with my LEJ's. Once I get one great bass, I want another. Ok, I'm a greedy man. LOL But, I feel like the AC's are what I've been looking for.
