It seems that this bass has the older version of the truss rod. Is it a one piece neck? Is it the older body style or the newer one?

Not that one is better then the other I'm just curious about the specs...

I think mine is still one of the 2009 models and its about 10.1lbs , so thats equivalent to your i think?
I experienced some lighter ones in the past ( of a friend).

The passive tone is awesome indeed!

Cool! 10 pounds is not a problem IMO. Mine is about a pound lighter, but is also quite a bit older (I've had it a few years now).

It says made for George Taylor by Jimmy Coppolo....and in 4 different places on the heel and neck pocket it says something about the special dalbergia negra rosewood....it also says 3T burst in the neck pocket, and vintage dark tint on the heel....pretty cool! Do you know who George Taylor is?
