Well, no bass today. Hopefully tomorrow. The flood has shut Nashville down. My prayers goes out to the Nashvillians and surrounding counties that lost.

Congrats Baccomang! Love the pearloid guard! My bass will be here today also. :hyper:

Hey Diglo ,

One big Day today ...for us.
Post the pics as soon as your bass arrives!

Only thing on the LM 5 : its not as lightweigt as i thought it would be, but the feel overall is great !

Both volumes open en Passive Tone Control : suberb tone !
You hardly need the active tone ( maybe only some bass boost ).

As a proud AC member i attached 2 more pics...

I assumed all the new LM's are quite heavy, from all the posts from NAMM (that's a new spec that Jimmy uses to more mirror the heavy ash in the later 70's J's, which IMO is not necessarily a good thing).

What is the weight on yours? I believe most will be in the 10 to 11 pound range if I remember correctly.

And +1... the only thing I ever do with the A-C preamp on my LM is put in just a touch of bass boost (maybe 10% or 20% max) to fatten the low end just a smidge. These basses sound great passive or relatively flat on the preamp EQ.

Hello Ken,

I think mine is still one of the 2009 models and its about 10.1lbs , so thats equivalent to your i think?
I experienced some lighter ones in the past ( of a friend).

The passive tone is awesome indeed!
