I need your advise : ( without having played the AC LM 5 yet).
Should i now sell my Fender Jazz Bass V with Badass V bridge , rosewood neck en Seymour Duncan active tone circuit ( 3 band with mid sweep)?

Why would you sell it when you can watch the dust build up on it? :)

I'm guilty of not selling basses quickly.

I'm back looking for a LG5. So, if anyone interested in letting go, hit me up. I love these basses. So, when I find a bass I love, I gotta have more. Ummmm, sounds like an addiction. LOL

I didn't like them at first but now I really do. Specially with the slight revision this year, I think it's really happening now. And I do think the size adds tonal value.

Right on - It took me some time to appreciate the headstock shape from a distance, but as soon I had spent a few days with my newly owned LG5 in my hands - I'm in LOVE! I also think there is something to be said about the added headstock mass.

I usually only post pics of my basses.:p

After 20+ years of gigging my wife usually doesn't come to any of my gigs. But today we played
about 5 minutes from our house so she came by and took some pics.
I'm playin my Ice Blue RA5.

Ok, I hate myself for being wishy washy about this but I played my RA5 a lot this week and I really think I can let go now. I guess I'm just not an Alder kinda guy... Playing Baccomang's new LM5 reinforced something I've know for a while - I love Ash. No matter what bass or even fingerboard, there is something about that tone that speaks to me.

I am reopening my for sale thread... I think I can manage 3 months without an A-C... Gigs have been slow lately anyway.

Hmm thanks for the usefull advise :crying:
But you are right , i also cannot part easily from my basses , but sometimes you have to " clear up the place" .

Peace

Baccomang

Hello,

Per you PM to me, for some reason, I cannot respond (it says you are not accepting PM's. In short, I'm not selling my LM... the comment on my Youtube channel that your quote involved swapping the Sadowsky and LM between the two locations in which I keep a bass and rigs (St. Louis and Detroit), due to me flying into St. Louis regularly to play (long story!).

I try to keep the LM in the location that I am playing most at different times of the year, so it gets maximum gig time!

Hello Kjung

Thanks for getting back. I will check my pm settings.

Ok that explains it ,because i could not imagine you selling
your 'Golden Child' . Love that Bass.

Peace

Hi Baccomang, was that a brand new LM5? do you know how much it weighs?

As much as I am loving my LM4 Deluxe, I am beginning to come around to the fact that I am more an alder/rosewood guy than an ash/maple guy. Who would've thunk?

So, I am at least temporarily considering the idea of trading my LM4 for an LG4. Anyone out there with a sweet LG4 thinking that they'd like to venture over into LM4 land? :smug:

Tom.

I'm so glad to hear you say that about the color because I had a choice between that and a very nice 3 tone sunburst. I felt like I was going to regret my decision. I was hoping it wouldn't be too pinkish. I have a feeling I won't care once it's plugged in. It's got a tort pickguard on it now, but I might switch it for the original mint one. It will be here Friday. The wait is killing me, I have no idea how you guys waited 6 months for some of these beauties. There will be photos.

Lichtaffen,

My buddy Ryan owned that bass for a while. I must say at first, i didnt like the color, but then in person..I completely changed my mind. The sound and feel completely won me over! NOT TO MENTION THE DEEP RICH COLOR!

Thats a great buy! CONGRATS!:bassist::bassist:
