Funny thing: I love the headstock. The logo is really great too.

My first AC will be arriving sometime next week from a fellow TB'er. You guys are the only ones who know how excited I am right now. I can't wait to plug it in. It's the Burgundy Mist KPB4 Classic that's been floating around the classifieds the past few months. I'll post photos when I get it.

I agree with most on the headstock opinion... I didn't like them at first but now I really do. Specially with the slight revision this year, I think it's really happening now. And I do think the size adds tonal value.

I'm also a big fan of the 5-inline tuners... My brother (who doesn't play bass) always disliked my other 4-1 5-strings, he always used to say, "That bass looks great but I hate that tooth sticking out at the bottom, man."

+1 ...sorta'...

The AC headstock, and one from one other manufacturer I know of, just struck me as "butt ugly" the first time I saw them. However, in both cases, I've actually grown to like them. In Jimmy's case, it's gone from hate to like. In the other case, it's actually gone from hate to love.

The other thing of course (as long as we're "going there"), is the pickguard/control plate issue. That one has gone from dislike to indifference.

+1, sorta. I still don't like the headstock, and I'm still probably in between dislike and indifference on the pickguard/control plate thing.

I do like my LM4 a lot, though!

Headstock.

I can say when I first saw an AC I was not fond of the headstock design. I would say now that I LOVE the headstock and to be honest the 5 inline tuners is so functional. Especially compared to a 4+1 on a gig in the dark...I also think Jimmy made a great design choice in the relatively large mass which seems to reduce dead spots.

I must say, once again, that I have always loved the AC headstocks. Aesthetically, it was actually one of the reasons, combined with the 5 in-a-line lollipops, that I was drawn to these basses.

At the end of the day, all that matters is how good they sound...and they all sound AWESOME!

After a long time of being a semi-member i hope to be a full
AC member in a week or so.

This baby is coming my way :

LM 5 Deluxe
Bock inlay
Hipshot brige
White perloid pickguard
Maple neck
AC preamp

I can't wait!!:hyper::hyper::hyper:

I need your advise : ( without having played the AC LM 5 yet).
Should i now sell my Fender Jazz Bass V with Badass V bridge , rosewood neck en Seymour Duncan active tone circuit ( 3 band with mid sweep)?

I guess i know the answer already:D

The LM5 is a great bass. You'll love it. I have just put an order in for one to complement my LG5.

When did you order your LG5?

Hey Bacco,
I can testify that this particular LM5 is HOT!!! It was one of the first A-C's I tried and I played it again last Wednesday. I wanted to take it home but you already bought it. You will not be sorry.
