I believe the bent plate is standard on the A-C P bass model, which is also passive. The hipshot (wonderful bridge IMO) is standard on the J models.

If you are asking about the P you have on order, I'd stick with the standard bent plate there... it just vibes with the old school passive design of that model to me. IMO there.

Said it before, I'll say it again... one of my all time favorite basses, and if you ever get stupid enough to even consider selling it... I have firm dibs on it. Now, I know that's a long shot, because for that to happen, you'd have to have had both arms removed by aliens during an abduction, but just in case... ;) :D :D :D :D

While I don't know if the hipshot is available on the KBP anymore (though I don't know why it wouldn't be), mine has one and I have to believe that's part of the reason the B sounds so great. I agree the bent plate looks great but I sure like the way this one sounds.
