Huh...I had your whole house in 70's colors, in my mind...<@:>}

Just to help you get the image straight, the rainbow carpet is from the basement at home. That house was built in 1970, and still looks like it was built in 1970. :smug:

The beige carpet is from the "band room" upstairs from my office (at work). :cool:

Hey guys, I'm really feeling my LM5 right now. But, I'm also getting gas for a KBP5. I'm thinking about asking Jimmy to change my LG5 order to a KPB5. That way I'll have a AC J & P bass. What do you guys think? I get real bad gas for a bass when they really feel good in my hands...and when that happens, I want more of what they have to offer.! AHHHHHHHHH! Actually, I think I Alleva~coppolo Gas! 'NOW THAT"S FUNKY! WOOOOO!

Here's an Alleva-Coppolo that I owned about 4 years ago and at the present, fellow Tb'r Dan Knowlton still owns. I'm curious the new refinements that AC has since added as compared to older models such as this. I know the lollipop tuner is one, but what else? Since he's now local to me, I may pay visit and just maybe I'll pop on the band wagon once again since the recession has ended. :)

Not to open a can of worms but some people say it matters and some don't. I think every piece of wood sounds different but that is just me. I have always felt the darker the Rosewood the warmer the sound as a general guideline. That is how it has worked out for me but I have seen Indian Rosewoods that were almost as bright and punchy as Maple so there are always exceptions. My last LG5 was finished in Nitro and had a Dalbergia Negra board which was very dark and smelt of Chocolate to my nose and she was as warm and sweet as any Chocolate I have ever had...Trust me, you will not be sorry for your choice!

Peace,

T

No hard feelings right? :hiding: If you ever want to fly over to LA, you're welcome to come and play it :p:bassist:.

And to Dave, Tom is correct about it being CAOJ and it's finished in Nitrocellulose.

LOL...Not at all! If I remember correctly I may have even recommended you check it out! I think I had bought my LG4 and was having Jimmy make me a 5 at the time and did not move soon enough. I think I actually talked to Jimmy a couple of times about this bass and just did not pull the trigger because of the one I had on order...She is certainly one of the finest examples of Jimmy's work that I have ever seen either way!

Peace,

T
