Fortunately within the AC thread I think it could be limited to a good discussion based on experience from people with a fairly good ear.
Personally with my double bass and the KBP5 that I used to own I did have a cable preference. On the Lg5 not so much...
This is NOTHING. At least with an analog signal, there's some room for technical banter... wait until you see the $250 HDMI cables to "improve image quality". LOL!!!!!!I was being a bit tongue in cheek. Cable discussions ALWAYS go ugly

I worked (his guinea pig) with Jimmy for a while demoing unheard amounts of wire changes. this one seems to work well in passive basses.. But everyone has their likes and dislikes so it is pretty SUBJECTIVE...Many folks may not notice much at all on an active bass though,. Its only my opinion. But we did a lot of field testing.. including being run over by a forklift..

But I went through a few hi end connectors and quite few cable styles and found this to not only sound good, but when you leave your stuff out in the truck in the winter, the cable stays flexible and does not get stiff.. Functional and sounds good. I never use anything longer that a 15 foot cable.. Studio i always use a short 6 foot Alleva cable.. works great for my needs.

I believe that is just straight up trans red. Hand mixed paint tend to be slightly different from one batch to the next. It does look a bit darker than ad900's trans red LM5, IIRC.
I ordered a new Black PG for my LG5 from Jimmy. When I saw Diglo's LG5 with dots and binding, I wrote Jimmy about making me a new neck, but since there is a new design, the new necks wouldnt fit my neck pocket. So my dream of DARK DB and dots and binding neck are gone..HA!
