Actually , Im not a fan of crabs and shrimp... They remind me of huge roaches as in Texas..
Cant eat sea roaches..:eek::)

I dig the local flounder and if i can get sword fish.. mmmmmm Swordfish steaks..


But I remember when i first moved to Texas from NYC...
They have these things called water bugs.. There not water bugs, they are HUGE roaches.. Well they are everywhere outside..sometimes they get inside too.. They are the size of a mouse..
I remember the first one that i killed .. It looked like a shrimp... ever since that day i think if shrimp as sea roaches and cant eat them... ahah

If you are still giving out numbers, I would like to be added to the Alleva Coppolo Club. I am now a card carrying member since I purchased this bass from Darryl (lullbass).

Mine is an LG5 with monster tone and a black nitro finish. Looking at purchasing a mint green pickguard for this black beauty eventually. Very impressed with the feel and tone of bass. The great thing about my AC is it is very different from my Sadowsky yet their voices complete each other. Both basses kill but one does it with a Samurai Sword and the other with a 45 caliber high velocity hollow point. Both get the job done but I must say I am loving Jimmy's Retro Funk Machines. Everything about my new LG 5 is classic!

I now have a blond and a brunette (rosewoood) that I feel will be with me for a long time.

Here is a photo I found of my new bass in Jimmy's shop back on 8/9/08. Look my bass is about to have a birthday.

Beautiful. I miss the vibe of that old shop. For some reason, that old, funky guitar shop in New York really fits the vibe of these basses. There is a similar shop in St. Louis called Gravity Strings that I just love... it has its own personality.

That is a beautiful bass!

Totally....that shop was sick....when exactly in '08 did Jimmy move? I remember him saying he was moving and then I just remember walking by it and it wasn't there anymore....plus my kbp5 was made in August of '08 and I always thought it was an NYC bass....

So If I can remember my neck-plate correctly- mine is a NYC model. Damn If I aint getting into this AC EUT5. Best thing since sliced prosciutto!!! Shaved sorry!

It's a Daphne Blue or 'LIGHT' blue I know there'll be a proper name I just can't think of it right now. - AHH just looked up the Email Jimmy replied to me- "ICE-BLUE METALLIC, With '72 pup placement. Lovely birdseye maple board,,,,
Wondering what d'ya think a TORT guard would look like on this?????? it currently has an 'aged' looking white/b/w/ guard.
AS I say- pics will come asap- hopefully later today.

cool thanks man....I was wrong my KBP5 is dated 5/24/08 so it must have been one of the last made in the NYC shop....mine also has a DN board and I always wondered how many basses he made with those boards....I remember a clip of Jimmy on youtube talking about the 40 foot log he acquired that was chopped down in the 40's or something crazy like that

Rest easy dude, it was ordered in January of 08 as I recall, and was done in about 4 months. Now stop wearing the paint off of it already. :ninja:

For sure....I was really only hoping my bass was an NYC one because I live in NYC and used to frequent the shop in the city all the time when I could only dream of affording an AC....and this was like 2004....there's no question in my mind that wherever Jimmy goes his level of high quality will carry with him, I just thought it would be cool for history's sake and to know the bass I now play was made in that era of the company's career.
