Photographing the nitro 3T finish many times seems to accetuate that "red stripe" in the middle, which in most cases is not what it looks like in person. Don't understand why.

+1...in photos the glow of that red is so bright that you lose the blending from black to yellow, but in person when I've seen nitro 3T it didn't have that look.

To me nitro is just so pretty... It has a glow to it that Poly cannot have..

BTW Pretty basses!

these are all nitro:

As I originally suspected you are in the wrong place. Most guys that hang around this thread enjoy and appreciate these nuances. Realizing musicianship is #1 doesn't mean the discussions lack value or importance. The fact that the guy in the back of the room half crocked can't tell the difference between my AC and an SX is of little concern.

:bassist:

I better leave now then. :crying:

+1 I'm not much of a photographer, but I always thought this pic really captured the 'organic' nitro finish on my LG... it has a bit of 'warm glow' to it. Fabulous looking IMO!

Yep!

That shows the beauty of nitro really well. It has a different shine to it than poly does. And the feel, can't forget about the feel. Especially once it ages some and gets a little orange peel going.

I raised my neck pup a bit with some foam and although its not at a final setup. It definately brought out more of the "burp" everyone keeps talking about with the LG's. I am quite surprised and pleased with this tip! Thanks so much..! I will try to track something to hear a comparison. (before and after)

Btw...the finish and overall look of my bass is breaking in QUITE NICE. At first i was concerned with keeping it "pretty" but it definately has some battle scars...which at first hurt but now i definately "DIG"!

Reminds me of Kirk laying his bass on the floor at a session...Relicing it HIMSELF..! hahahaha

you rang?:D I was just going through my photos today and saw that one. so here it is,
We were tracking live and i was in a hurry to go listen back..I just sort of left it there in a hurry. Here it is.. I love this bass..
