I've been playing my '60 P, and I've come to the conclusion I'm just a P kind of guy, so I'm thinking about a 5-string P (thinking seriously about a KPB-5...also very interested in this rumored A/C P/J 5). To do that, though, (and I'm a little stunned that it's come to this) I'm going to have to sell my beautiful LG-5 (Oly White Nitro w/ matching headstock, tortoise shell PG, Indian rosewood fretboard, almost 3 years old, from right about the time Jimmy moved to CA). I'd like to keep it in the community here, but I've never done one of these remote sales before, and I'm a little nervous about it. I know some of y'all flip instruments weekly, and I'd appreciate suggestions for doing this. Thanks.

I am really not doing any gigs this summer. If someone is interested in my LM5, it's 10.75 lbs, one piece maple neck with skunk stripe, blocks and binding and the neck profile is slightly deeper then standard. Its transparent butterscotch blonde with a parchment pickguard and has my name engraved on the neck plate serial number B50287 I'd be asking $4500 which is what I paid for it.

Not planning on listing it in the classifieds, serious inquiries only. Thanks.

I got to play this bass, straight up a beast of a player, whoever gets this one will be very lucky.

Hey guys, Not to drive away attention from Petes last post. Just thought id drop by here as well. I am considering letting my KBP4 Classic Supreme go. SUPER MEGA "feeler" i just wanted to test the water first. I know I will regret this later if i go thru with it but I need some money for other investments.

Its in amazing condition.
You guys always get first dibs.. Thanks In advance for any interest.

Mike X

most of you guys have seen it once or twice. I will try to get a feeler thread posted.

What color is it Mike?

I'm excited to have the new bridge on my incoming LG5... But then again, even the current vintage bridge or Hipshot would be ok too. Can't wait to compare all of them!

On a side note, I find it really exciting now that Jimmy is slowly starting to catch up on his backlog he's able to set aside a little time here and there to brainstorm and try his new ideas. He's had to keep them bottled up to focus on building and now they're starting come out little by little. Go Jimmy!

If I'm not mistaken, just about all current orders are in production of varying degrees... Jimmy is really trying to move. I would assume all but the newest of orders are in production, but that is purely an assumption on my part.

We've talked about a different type of production method or system and he seems to really like the idea. The only way he can even entertain a transition is to get caught up with the current orders. I won't go into any detail on this because it's just a conversation that Jimmy and I had and not much more. But if he does go that route I can see future orders getting done MUCH quicker with less stress on his part.
