This is definitely the case. I have seen BOTH 4 and 5 hole 19mm bridges from Hipshot. I don't know if it's new/old or just different patterns based on OEM spec/request, but it's definitely something to be aware of if you're thinking about swapping bridges around.

I have talked to Jimmy and he has the Hipshot B bridges made special for him with 4 screw mount and 19 mm spacing that is also same spacing as a Bassass bridge he puts on his 5,s hope this answers everyone questions.

By the way my new Candy Apple Orange BPL 2011 is the best I have had so far! I had two other LM 5,s and thus one sounds and plays the best! Nails the 70,s tone to a T .I think the heavier Ash body makes the difference and possibly the tad larger body size ?I am thinking about having Jimmy make me a Tort guard for it though when he get some more in .The Black guard on ot is a 3 ply but not beveled.

Do you have any other pics of that bass?

Are the neck profiles on the BOO serial number era basses (NYC?) consistently thinner that his current neck depths on his 4 stringers?

I would say not. I have B0015 which is a KBP4 with an "A" width neck (1.5" at the nut). Slab board. Neck depth seems right where it should be. Apparently this neck was modeled on an old J bass neck of Kirk Powers'. Will to Powers.

Joel this is the bass that George at Bass san Diego got from Jimmy right after the BPL 2011.These are some that where taken at the shop and at the Show?

Thanks man. She's a beauty. I've got to let Jimmy know for sure what color I want on my LM. It's a limited edition so I really shouldn't cover the grain, but that CAOJ is sweet!

The metal flake is a little misleading depending on how you look at it it changes some? One way you don,t notice it at all and then in another position you can see it.Another thing on this one I dont notice the 19mm spacing and the radius of the neck as much on this one like the other two I had.The other two i had I sold to Gilsonite which was a NYC LM 5 in Trans blue and the other went to Rwider and was a Trans White LM5 and I think he soild it not too long afterward.Im thinking down to road I may get a Hippy Dippy 5 ?

More Pics but not very good!

Tort would look cool. I'm wondering how white or pearloid might look too. It would tie in nicely with the blocks and binding.

This one is a one of a Kind .He had his painter add the metal flake on the last coat and yes it has more sparkle than a normal CAOJ finish but at certain angles you don,t notice it as much.As far as the Tort guards Jimmy emailed me and I talked to him last week and he is out of the Tort material so he is supposed to let me know when he gets more but I know for sure he is very busy with getting ready for NAMM.By the way what Jimmy told me about my bass was that BPL was so close to Halloween it is one of the reasons he did it CAOJ with a Black guard!
