As for the videos its got that groovy 70's like video style.....and I say it in a good way.... not that clearer then real life HD like picture quality......

Yep that's that socialcam app.. Its pretty cool-- and the filter is actually called "70s"! I like that it's instant- it uploads in seconds... Stay tuned the first morning of NAMM....it looks like we are planning to do a rundown of what is at the show- before doors open.. So if it works, you all will see everything the same time, if not earlier than the people who are able to go to the show..

Thanks Ricksey, I didn't know it could be that simple ?

I was thinking that the bridge was custom and it would be a challenge getting that part ( I had a dickens of a time years ago with a bridge screw/spring for a 70's Jazz and NEVER got the right part after much searching at about 5 local guitar shops, and 6 years ago I trudged Sunset Blvd guitar shops searching for a truss rod wrench to fit a YAMAHA Broad Bass ).

I too kinda thought that Jimmy's bridges were very AC specific in their specs a la the HIP SHOT bridge 3 holes for AC and 4 holes for non AC basses...so I will definitely check shops today..........;)

The Christmas Bass is ready but sans the Orange Peel finish and Horse Shoe proprietary electronics! :)

Will try and get some pics when I get my hands on it!!! Can't wait!

I believe the reason for it (The Resurrection Series) not being too popular is Jimmy's pre amp. The LG I dare say will be more versatile but I just love the old school passive bass sound and that's why I went with Jimmy on this build.

+1 These naming conventions have always confused the customer. However, Jimmy is selling more basses than he can make, so I guess it is a minor thing.

LG, LM, RA, KBP with options available.... done IMO! Simple for the consumer, to the point. However, old topic. I look forward to seeing the basses at NAMM and hopefully meeting Jimmy.

i can see that... trying to describe every model on the site has been difficult to distinguish, but.. i can see his side too... in the end, hes just trying to continue bringing new variances/options on the basic line (lg lm ra kbp)... it seems to be a TomAto/tomato thing... to say its a lg with x addons or to say its a lg classic supreme is really the same thing....hes just giving it a name to recognise the level of the model... anyways.. im hoping to make it clear on the site as im doing it so it becomes easy to understand his system... all the models on the site in the past didnt really separate it that much... if you look now..you will see all the models in order (even though not all descriptions are yet finished).

Jonno the hippy is the water based finish i believe. its based on the how all the people back then would strip the bass and put a oil/water base finish ...

i dont believe the pickups are different, but dont quote me. i havent a/b them directly...i think this the 3rd or 4th resurrrection ive ever seen.. i think they would be the same. Could it sound differently running thru a bypassed pre vs straight wired passively? could be..

+1 Pretty minor deal. Still totally digging my LM that I purchased from the New York shop. Wonderful instrument!

Yea I know I get it but why not just call it a passive LG with an oil based basically a no frills entry level LG.
Its just getting too confusing and in the end Jimmy will spend more time describing the models than selling and building basses....
Make it simple for the consumer to understand and digest...!
