Again I am not representing anyone here but buying from Brian is NOT buying direct from the seller its probably most likely on consignment so there is a commission attached to the price.

In return however you know you're not going to get duped and the condition is assesed by Brian and he is as honest they come.

In regards to prices though IMHO it pretty much goes by marketability....AC's are and therefore going to command a higher price and as long as Jimmy is hand building them and taking around 14~18 months to deliver the prices are going to be up there.

On the other hand I have seen some really good deals on other brands on his website.

Just my $0.02's.

Again, I don't know the situation with these particular basses, but the two I purchased from Brian, listed as 'mint' were not only 'mint', but literally new and probably had less than 15 minutes playing time on them.

If those two are in there on consignment, that may be why the prices are a little high. When people send/bring stuff to him to sell on consignment, per his policy, he takes what they say they "have to have for it" and adds his fee on top of that to get the price. When stuffs on consignment, it kinda ties Brian up on what he can ask/take for bass and still make any money. But outside of that, Brian's awesome to work with and his descriptions are usually dead on. If I had the cash, I'd be rolling over to bag the LM5 today. C'mon bonus!!! :hiding:

@notejung...not trying to encourage a sell, but that bass is in great condition and sounds great also. The finish is beautiful.

Sure and he might be able to get asking price for those two basses but other more garden variety stuff (an MIJ 80s jazz for $1450!) seem way over-market and in the past when I've inquired he seemed firm on his prices. But hey, if he can get it, more power to him.

That was actually a really good deal, although I would't particularly want a 70's style J with a RW board myself. Pure IMO there.

I do remember that bass once belonging to a TBer, since we had the predictable 'RW on a 70's spec J' discussion about it on TB:p

Just as a heads up I am having to sell my deposit & spot in line for an AC. The deposit is $1250 and the order was placed in July of 2011. So the bass should be done in July of this year. Get a AC with only a six month wait! :bassist: PM me for more deets

Hey everyone! With the talk of the new alleva coppolo site up and running I decided to google it. I gotta say I LMAO when I noticed my LG5 "demo" youtube video from four years ago is still in the top four google searches for alleva coppolo with 20,000 views! You guys have uploaded so much awesome and impressive stuff over the years that it makes me giggle that google has my vid. somehow above marcus miller's namm booth video. lol. Seriously though with all the AC players I've heard on the web...I'm taking notes from you guys. You guys are killin'.

But what can I say, I can only thank my LG5 for the honor. This bass is killin'. Thanks Jimmy. #B50074 is a real honey badger, she just don't give a #&%^.

I've added web design and e-marketing commerce as a minor and I'm about to drop my own site, so I can say as an newly educated web designer, Jimmy's site is looking really smooth. Can't wait to see it at 100%.

Hey any of you AC cats out there know where I can get a screw and spring for my B string saddle on my LG 5 real fast ??

I have been playing the CAOJ LG 5 a lot last week and certainly didn't notice that screw and spring missing until I sat down to practice on my other LG 5 and thought I was seeing things ???? YUP, the screw and spring left town, BUT somehow the saddle and string itself are still perfectly in tune and in place.

It is a bent plate bridge. I love the tone of the bridge okay, but my saddles seem to move around a lot ( hence the loss ) especially the G string. The HIPSHOT is rock solid on the LM Deluxe 5. I am excited to see what the new bridge is going to be like...any heads up ?? :hmm::hmm:

I sent Jimmy an email but I know he is very very busy prepping for NAMM. Though not major inconvenience, I play that LG 5 CAOJ 75 % of the time over my 2 other AC basses...it kills, as it is real light and a killer neck....:D:D

I played a party last week and Jon Liebman from ForBassPlayersOnly was in attendance and he had very nice things to say about the LG 5...oh yah he is a sweet cat too..:cool:

im sure a guitar store would have a spring/screw... my bridge pieces were doing that to.. then got some of that locktite and it hasnt moved since!

Was watching the AC videos posted by our very own Ricksy and there is a teaser shot of some sort of 51 P or Tele Bass..... New bass for NAMM??? :)

BTW thanks for the vids Rick!! :)
