So sorry to hear of Jeff Andrews' passing, Jimmy, I was fortunate to hear him play when I first moved to Maine, it would have been 1986 or 87 at the University of Maine at Augusta, it was Mike Stern's band with Jeff, Michael Brecker, Kenny Kirkland, and Adam Nussbaum. Haven't heard a band with a lineup like that in many years, all were great. Love does heal everything in time.

I'm looking for a 'Tom Barney' [TB] model Jazz 5-string - w/18mm bridge spacing. Preferably – weighing 9.5 lbs. or less.

Please PM me if you have a TB model you are thinking of selling, or even if you just know of someone that might consider selling theirs.

As potential 'TB' trade bait – I'd possibly even reluctantly put up my sweet & killin' NYC-era LG5 with nitro CAOJ finish, in ex. cond.

Here is mine from this year's NAMM , killer bass. He's made very few of them partially because he has not really finalized a humcancelling J to his liking yet ( I think). At least that was one concern he had years ago. Mine has a regular single coil J pup because I never use both pups together- always separately. My guess also is that any PJ will come with a P bass body style not a J (LG5).

Congrats John, that's a beauty.
Jimmy has his "own" strings made for the basses and sold separately with his brand packaging. I believe they are steel roundwounds, 45-130 If I'm remembering right.

I love hi-beams on my LM5, though I'd be trying out Lo-Riders pretty soon.
